The winner of the Atlantic Group award as part of the project of Sarajevo City of Film at the 19th Sarajevo Film Festival is Director Cristina Groşan for the film ‘Holiday at the Seaside’, and the award for 2.000 was given to her last night in the summer cinema !hej in front of more than 3.000 people.
Sarajevo city of film is the practical continuation of Sarajevo Talent Campus to ensure that what happens at Talent Campus is realized. Three films that are competing for the award are ‘Holiday at the Seaside’ by Cristina Groşan, ‘Jutarnje Molitve’ by Katarina Stanković (Serbia) and Konstantine Kotzamani (Greece) and ‘’Moja! Moja! Moja sobica!’ by Barbara Vekarić (Croatia).
13 projects applied for participation to this project, whose team of filmmakers are made up of young talents, participants of the 5th and 6th Sarajevo Talent Campus.
The movies were filmed in the spring in Sarajevo, and one of the conditions was for the team to come from at least two different countries because in this way they seek to encourage the creation of a new regional network of film talents.
This is an opportunity for those who are participating in Talent Campus to connect during the duration of the educational program and find their co-workers for the filming of short films that this year have around 12.500 euros at their disposal.
The Director of Corporative Communication Atlantic Group Gabrijela Kasapović said for Agency Fena that Atlantic Group has been support Sarajevo city of film for six years, but are with SFF longer.
Kasapović said that Atlantic Group is participating in this program with the main goal to help young directors to make their first movies, as well as to learn about the industry and for the award to help them to work on some other projects.
The award-winning director thanked the public and organizers of the project Sarajevo city of film and the jury that unanimously came to the decision.
