The institutions of BiH will move from the current address on the Square of BiH in Sarajevo neighborhood of Marijin Dvor, into a new building at Dubrovacka Street. They will move to the building of the Union Bank, which will be purchased for a total of 22,346,433.00 BAM.
The Council of Ministers of BiH, on the proposal of the Service for Joint Affairs of the Institutions of BiH, made the Decision on approving the project of buying the building for the accommodation needs of the institutions of BiH in Sarajevo.
It is the building of Union Bank Sarajevo, with the surface of 7,617 square meters at Dubrovacka Street 6, with a total cost of 22.3 million BAM, of which nearly 9.5 million BAM, which were previously secured in the budget for the purchase of the building, will be paid in 2016, and the remaining amount will be paid successively in the next four years, until 2020.
The reason for the purchase, according to the Council of Ministers of BiH, is the need to resolve permanent accommodation of institutions in Sarajevo, with the aim of financial savings on rents paid by the institutions of BiH. By purchasing the facility, BiH will save more than 1.7 million BAM annually for the costs of renting.
“For the implementation of the Decision on approving the purchase of the building for accommodation needs of the institutions of BiH in Sarajevo were provided funds in the amount of 9.4 million BAM. In particular, 9 million and 486,837.00 BAM was left from purchase of other buildings in Mostar, Tuzla, East Sarajevo and Banja Luka,” as explained in the reasons for the Decision.
The newly purchased building in Sarajevo has a total area of 7,617.02 square meters for accommodation of BH institutions. The facility has 129 offices in which can be accommodated from 400 to 440 employees.
They explained that, economically speaking, the investment will pay off in 7-8 years and will ultimately resolve the permanent stay of a number of institutions of BiH and thereby reduce the amount of the lease which is currently paid.
For the realization of purchases are in charge the Service for Joint Affairs of the Institutions of BiH and the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.
