The second phase of the construction of the South longitudinal in Sarajevo will be continued after the implementation of tendering and the selection of the contractor, as confirmed from the Road Directorate of Canton Sarajevo.
Removal of all temporary and illegal objects that are located at the section of the south longitudinal is in the final stage. That can be seen at the part of the road from the stadium Grbavica to the settlement Hrasno.
“Second phase of the construction of South longitudinal will be continued after the implementation of tendering and the selection of the contractor. Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Transport- the Road Directorate of Canton Sarajevo, finished all necessary activities on the implementation of tendering and sent it to EBRD for approval“, as said in the Road Directorate of Canton Sarajevo.
After the approval of EBRD, an Agreement with the contractor will be signed, and the contractor will be introduced to the side no later than 30 days after signing of an Agreement.
Funds for realization of the continuation of the construction of the South longitudinal was earlier provided from the credit funds of EBRD.
Section on the construction of the South longitudinal is from turning to Vrace (connect with the part that is done) to the bakery AS (turning for Hrasno). There is a problem on this section because it is necessary to relocate a building with 66 apartments located in the street Grbavicka from 62 to 68.
As a reminder, construction of the new building was announced for spring this year, but obviously it needed more time due to the complexity of the administrative procedures.
As it was said in the Road Directorate, the Municipality Novo Sarajevo is carrying out the procedure of the adoption of the Urban Project, and the Institute for the construction of Canton Sarajevo is carrying out activities on the preparation of project documentation for the alternative object.
Funds for the construction of the alternative object were provided by the Ministry of Transport of KS. The construction value of the relocation of the building is around 3 million BAM.
