Despite all the challenges that are following global trade, including the fluctuation and the fall of Turkish lira, the volume of the exchange of goods between the two countries is not threatened and there has been an increase recorded in exports of industrial products from BiH to Turkey in the first half of the year.
This was concluded at the meeting of Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic and the new Minister of Trade of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan that took place in Izmir (Turkey).
They discussed several trade and economic issues of mutual interest, and they also agreed on continuation of the supply of meat from BiH to Turkey.
Minister Sarovic explained the problem with the export of glucose sugar to this country, and a quick solution to this issue is expected with the understanding of the Turkish side. A new meeting of two ministers is planned for the month of November.
Minister Sarovic attended the opening of the largest food and beverage trade fair in Izmir with Minister of Tourism and Trade of Serbia Rasim Ljajic, and they visited the booths of BiH and Serbia, which is this year’s partner of this fair. The main goal of the organization of the fair is the promotion of BH agricultural and food industry and the increase of the export of our products to the international market.
