Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić stated last night in New York that Serbia is against the referendum in Republika Srpska, but that it supports the territorial integrity of RS within BiH, in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Vuči said that it was very difficult to publicly express such viewpoint, but that the Serbian government did it anyway.
„At the opening ceremony of the new motorway in Banja Luka, I said that ot a group of 5.000 Serbs and called them to calm down the situation. Honestly, I did not hear other Balkan leaders say anything like that,“ Vučić said.
Vučić added that he has no problem saying that the Government of Serbia does not support the referendum and that it is a clear attitude of the Serbian government with which the president of the country agrees as well.
Furthermore, Vučić emphasized that Serbia supports the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska within it, in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement.
