The Security Attaché of the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lawrence Woody, on behalf of the United States Government donated sophisticated equipment of the latest generation for determining the authenticity of documents to the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Thursday.
At a meeting with the head of the BiH Border Police Zoran Galic, interlocutors discussed the activities of this police agency in combating all types of cross-border crime, illegal migration and terrorism.
During the meeting, it was stated that the value of the donated equipment is 21,000 U.S. dollars and that the cooperation between the US Embassy and BiH’s Border Police will continue.
On this occasion, Woody pointed out the readiness of the US Government to continue supporting the development of the BiH BP.
Director Galic thanked for the donated equipment, stressing that it will be used for the right purposes, which will increase the efficiency of the work of the BiH Border Police.
In the past, the US Government has donated specialized equipment worth more than 12 million BAM to the BiH Border Police.
