Water is one of the most important elements on earth. However, given the constant increase in water consumption worldwide, we seem to take water for granted. Bosnia and Herzegovina is no exception to this trend. During the month of December and in the light of Paris Agreement, UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with our partners, is raising awareness on climate changes, environmental protection and water savings.
As Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, stated during his opening remarks at the launch of the Water Action Decade 2018-2028: “We cannot continue to take water for granted and expect to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.”
In this spirit, the UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched “Every Waterdrop Counts!” Initiative, which aspires to raise awareness about the enormous importance of water, water consumption and water saving among young people across the country. Moreover, the Initiative aims to showcase the water beauties of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its numerous lakes and rivers, springs and waterfalls. A beauty which we must take care of!
We invite everyone to learn more about the importance of water through Every Waterdrop Counts! Instagram campaign where you can find a dedicated Instagram guide to the Initiative! Join our efforts and trigger the change!
