The Vakuf Delegation of the Directorate of Turkey visited today Isa-bey Ishaković Hamam in Sarajevo, whose restoration started in March this year, reports the agency Anadolija.
The completion of the restoration of this extremely important cultural and historic old building more than 500 year old, is planned for the end of the year 2014.
Chairman of the Department of Foreign Affairs from the Directorate of Turkey, Davut Gazi Benli said for the agency Anadolija that the completion of the works at Isa-beg Ishaković hamam is planned for the end of the year 2014.
“We came in B&H to improve cooperation with the Vakuf Authority of B&H, in order to discuss the problems, if there are and the way to resolve them“, said Benli
The company “Erbu” received a deadline of about a year and a half to complete the works.
According to the agreement between the Vakuf Directorate in B&H and in Turkey, the restoration of the facility is funded by the Vakuf Authority of Turkey which has envisaged for this project about two million and 600.000 KM.
The founder of Sarajevo Isa Beg Ishaković during the thirty-year of governing Sarajevo, built series of beautiful and important public buildings, such as the first mosque – Careva, beside it, the first public urban bathroom, then the first bridge over the Miljacka and numerous residences, shops and other buildings.
