Doctorsand representatives of ten clinics from Turkey, among them representatives from the largest clinics such as Liv Hospitalin Istanbul, Memorial, Acibadem, Bir Inci Goz, Dunyagoz, Estethica Guven Hospital, visited today the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo(KCUS). The aim of the visit to Clinical Center of University of Sarajevo is to exchange experiences, knowledge, and to consults in connection with the improvement of medical services in the two countries, was announced by the KCUS.
Ayse Turan from the Ministry of Health of Turkey said that Turkish experts are interested in cooperation with experts from B&H on the entire health plan, especially in the field of medical tourism, which in the past 20years has become one of the leading sectors for the economy progress.
“Today we have a situation where people sell tourism package with a package of health and on that is based the entire medical tourism. Of course, we all generally know that B&H as a countryhas many natural resources– forests, air–as well as a large population of young educated people“, explained Turan.
Turkish doctors are staying in Sarajevo for the Conference on Health Care “Balkan Health Forum2013“. The aim of the conference is the development of health and medical tourism in the Balkans, which is rated as the biggest potential of the region.
