The B&H Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the B&H Ministry of Communications and Transport, established at the session a draft framework decision on the adoption of the transport policy of B&H for the period from 2013 to 2020.
The Transport Policy Framework is a planning and operational document that is a framework for institutions and individuals that are in accordance with its responsibilities directly involved in its implementation.
The overall transport policy of B&H for the period of 2013 to 2020 is one of the three important documents (political, strategic and action) necessary to determine and direct the future work and development of transportation in B&H. Also, these documents constitute an important prerequisite for the future financing of the transport sector by the international financial institutions (WB, EBRD and EIB). This document has importance from the Stabilization and Association Agreement, as well as other international agreements and treaties in the area of transport.
The overall objective of the Framework Transport Policy is sustainable development of the transport system of the country, based on the expected economic and social development of the country. The B&H Ministry of Communication and Transport is responsible for the realization of the Framework Transport Policy, and the proposal will be submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H for adoption.
