The Turkish air company Turkish Airlines (THY) in cooperation with the tourist agency “Devim Tours” brought to Sarajevo the representatives of 15 tourist agencies from the Izmir region. They will get the chance to see potentials of the winter tourism in B&H so that during the winter even more tourist from Turkey could have the chance to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. – by Anadolu Agency.
The president of the executive board of the tourist agency “Devim Tours”, Bulent Bicer, said for Anadolu Agency that the goal of this visit is to present the potential of the winter tourism in B&H.
“The goal of this visit is to present the potential of the B&H tourism to big tourist agencies from Turkey so that B&H can attract even more tourists from our country.” – emphasized Bicer, an added that B&H has a great potential for winter tourism.
“There is a truly big potential for the winter tourism in B&H. We have been working on it for the last four years but we want to expand and promote that aspect of tourism even more. As you already know, the Olympic games were held in Sarajevo in 1984. There are many ski tracks and a good infrastructure for the winter tourism.” – said Bicer.
He reminded that Turkey has 77 million inhabitants which represent a great potential in the sense of tourists who would certainly come to B&H during winter time.
“Also, having in mind strong cultural and historical connections between B&H and Turkey and good conditions for the winter tourism, we believe that we will bring a larger number of tourists to B&H in the future. Every year, there are 300 000 Turkish tourists who visit Bulgaria for vacations. We want to bring them to B&H and that’s why we brought our representatives here, to present to them the ski centres and other touristic attractions in B&H like for example Mostar, Travnik and other places.” – said Bicer.
The Turkish representatives will stay four days in B&H and have the chance to meet all the beauty of the town of Sarajevo, mountain Jahorina, the Bosna river spring, Bjelašnica, Mostar, Počitelj, Blagaj, Travnik and many other places.
