The total debt of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) is more than 5.6 billion BAM, and most of it is related to the external debt of entity authorities.
The total debt, which is managed by the Government of the FBiH, who is responsible for it (external and internal) on December 31st 2017 amounted to 3.454.762.125,57 dollars or 5.634.060.622 BAM, and was lower than the debt amount of 148.85 million BAM in the previous quarter, as stated in the information that was adopted by the Government of the FBiH at the yesterday’s session in Mostar.
At the end of last year, the external debt amounted to 4.739.373.174 BAM or 2.906.146.745 dollars. Nominal debt, which was converted into BAM, was lower than in the previous quarter by 146.278.993 BAM, or by three percent.
When it comes to the internal debt of the FBiH, on December 31st 2017, it amounted to 548.615.380 dollars or 894.687.448 BAM. Internal debt based on market (risk and treasury bills) and non-market securities (bonds of old foreign currency savings and war claims) on December 31st 2017, amounted to 866.213,380 BAM (531.155.303 dollars) and compared to the previous quarter, it was lower by 5.8 million BAM or 0.67 percent.
