Today with the Award Ceremony ends the 19th Sarajevo Film Festival

srce sarajevaAwarding official prize “Heart of Sarajevo” in more categories today at the ceremony in the National Theater will be officially closed the curtain of this year’s 19th edition of the most important regional festival of films – Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF).

In the Competition Program film will be awarded with  “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best film with a cash prize of 16.000 euros, for the best actress and actor in the amount of 2.500 euros, and the Special Jury Prize for which the fund is provided by Agnes B. of value 10.000 euros.

President of the Jury of the Competition film Program is one of the most important B&H filmmakers Danis Tanović, while members of the Jury are actor Uliks Fehmiu (Serbia), the director of photography Christine A. Maier (Germany), the actress Mirela Oprisor (Romania) and the artistic director of Critics Week Charles Tesson (France).

“Heart of Sarajevo” will be awarded in the category of Competition Program for the best Short Film in the amount of 2.500 euros.
The jury that decides for the award winners of this program consists of – the program manager of the section Panorama Berlinale Film Festival Paz Lazaro (Spain, Germany), B&H artist Mladen Miljanović and the director Paul Negoescu (Romania).

There is also the category of Documentary Film within Competition Program under which it will also be awarded “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best film, and this award is of 3.000 euros and the fund is provided by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.

The Special Jury Award in the amount of 2.500 euros is provided by the Al Jazeera Balkans.

About this reward will decide the jury with members: the producer Joslyn Barnes (USA), the director and screenwriter Vibeke Bryld (Denmark), and the film historian and curator Jasmin Basic (Switzerland).

At the ceremony will be announced even the winners of the Awards for Human Rights, which will be distributed for the best film of Competition program of documentary film which has the subject of human rights, and its of amount of 3.000 euros and is provided by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, also the EDN Talent Grant, Awards of CICAE, the Award of Audience, the Award of CineEuropa, and Atlantic group awards and will be announced the Sarajevo nomination of candidats for the European Film Award 2013 for the  Short Film.
