Workers dissatisfied with the new Proposal of the Labour Law, gathered today in front of building of FB&H Government, to show that they will not allow further reducing of the rights of workers.
Different banners indicating the deleterious effects of the new law on the workers can be seen on the gathering.
Disapproval of the fact that parliamentarians found the unfavorable legal solution for the workers, protesters show with the slogans: “Those who work, will die of hunger”, “House of the people, your people is hungry,” “Our sick society has sick leaders,” etc.
With the slogan that is also the motto of today’s protest: “NO to the new law that will reduce rights of workers,” arrived workers from the Una-Sana Canton (USC).
Semir Fajić from the Union of Education of the USC said that 120 people from this canton arrived to the protest today.
“They brought us to the point when we have to go to the streets and ask for minimum rights. The collective agreement has not been respected in our country and the result of that is start of the lawsuits. Regarding this, the USC is the canton with the biggest number of lawsuits, and the adoption of this Law would make everything much worse, “said Fajić, adding that the Law should be adopted, but with certain modifications and in the agreement with the unions.
Nadžija Bukvić, employee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of FB&H, said that the Prime Minister should make the reduction of public expenditure and not to lie to the people.
“They are spending 150 to 500 BAM on their phones, 2,000 BAM on the national football team per each ministry. They are hiring their people despite the moratorium on employment. In my ministry, six people were hired and now they are working under the contract,” said Bukvić.
Zineta Svirac, the employee of the Municipality of Stari Grad, said that the Mayor of this municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, should be a role model to Fadil Novalić in how to distribute the costs, manage the incomes and have a good business policy.
