The Project of Employment Support, whose carrier is the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the FBiH and its implementer is the Employment Service of FBiH, was presented in the Headquarters of the Government of Central Bosna Canton in Travnik.
Deputy Prime Minister of the FBiH and Minister of Labour and Social Policy of the FBiH, Vesko Drljaca, and Prime Minister of Central Bosnia Canton, Tahir Lendo, addressed the attendees on the presentation, while project coordinator Nedzmina Vojnikovic and coordinator of Youth Employment Project (YEP) Ranko Markus talked during the operational part of the project. Haris Culjevic spoke on behalf of the Employment Office of the FBiH as well.
The value of the Project is estimated at 108 million BAM, and part of the funds will be provided from the Budget of the FBiH and the rest in cooperation with the World Bank. It was stated that the plan of this project is to employ 23,000 people in the next four years.
Minister Drljaca noted that every economic policy must have its employment policy. The higher employment rate means greater inflow of money into budget and out-of-budget funds, it regulates social policy in a very good way, provides employment to young people who will remain in our country and will not be forced to go abroad in their search for employment. A good quality employment policy improves the economic system and realizes further development of the society.
“Our final aim is to reduce poverty and make our society more prosperous. It is a work that lasts for a long period time and we have to work together in order to achieve some visible results,” stated Minister Drljaca.
