The Assistant to the Secretary General of the United Nations for Europe and the community of independent countries of the UN Development Program, Cihan Sultanoğlu, will be in the official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 10th to 13th May.
During the first visit to BiH, Sultanoğlu will meet with state, entity and municipal officials, as well as with the representatives of the civil society and will also visit areas in Maglaj and Doboj that were restored after last year’s floods.
It has been planned for her to meet with the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Mladen Ivanic, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalic, the President of RS Milorad Dodik and with the Prime Minister of RS Zeljka Cvijanovic.
As it has been announced from the UNDP, it will be discussed on the global development agenda and position of BiH, activities of the UN in the flood recovery and the building of the resistance to natural disasters in BiH, actual projects and the progress of BiH on its path towards the European integrations.
Focusing on the floods recovery projects carried out by the UN agencies, Sultanoğlu will visit some of renewed public institutions, schools and kindergartens in Maglaj and Doboj.
Sultanoğlu will also visit Kotor Varos and the recently renewed local Center for culture on 12th May, and will be in Banja Luka on 13th May.
