The fourth study visit and workshop organized by the platform “Memory Lab” will be held from 21-26 October in Germany.
It will bring together around 40 representatives of initiatives dealing with the past from the Western Balkans and Western / Central Europe.
The aim of the workshop and study tour is to discover and explore the challenges of dealing with the past in the visited places, to exchange experiences regarding to specific topics related to coping with a difficult past in the countries where participants come from, as well as to open up the possibility of establishing contacts and cooperation between the gathered initiatives.
The study tour will be organized in Berlin, at the German – Polish border in Frankfurt / Oder- Slubice and at the Memorial Center Ravenbrück (80 km north of Berlin).
The study tour is organized by Centre Malraux, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in B&H, the Documenta- Centre for Dealing with the Past (Zagreb) and the Franco- German Youth Office ( Berlin / Paris) in collaboration with Ravenbrück Memorial Centre, Institute for Applied History of Frankfurt / Oder Memorial Centre of the Berlin Wall, with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foundation Robert Bosch and CCFD – Terre Solidaire.
