In Ravna Romanija near Sokolac in beginning of September should start the building of ethno-village, which will be a joint project of Sokolac municipality and of the famous director Emir Kusturica.
Mayor of Sokolac Milovan Bjelica said for Srna said that in September the Machine Company “Andrićgrad” will start with the construction of roads and preparatory works to build the ethno-village.
He recalled that for the preparation of the construction of ethno-village the Municipal Assembly Sokolac changed municipal regulation plan, and that the re-zoning of the former agricultural land owned by the municipality of Ravna Romanija on both sides of the main road to Sarajevo that in one part is planned for the construction, reports the portal Indikator.ba.
Bjelica said that about five hectares of land in that area belongs to municipality and for the construction of ethno-village is chosen the best location of 50-100 dunums.
The conceptual design of ethno-village, which according to Bjelica should be known in about ten days, it is envisaged to be built in the ethnic style and will be able to receive hundreds of visitors.
“That would be the house of friendship that consistes of apartments and offices”, said Bjelica.
He points out that the ethno-village in Ravna Romanija will be built on the model of Drvengrad on Mokra Gora in Serbia, and that except for facilities in ethnic style will be include hotel, cinema, coffee bars, mail, sports fields such as mini golf, tennis courts, children’s playground in the open, and even an amphitheater.
“It will be built of stone and bricks, and wood-panels in the ethnic style”, said Bjelica.
Since the village is located on both sides of the main road in the direction of Belgrade – Sarajevo, it has remaining to agree on the way of connection – walkway over the road, or tunnel under it.
