Construction of the speed road Lašva-Nević Polje-Travnik-Jajce, which represents the main road in the FBiH in the direction west-east, is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of next year, confirmed the Director of the company Motorways of FBiH Đenan Salčin.
Salčin says that the planned section of the speed road Lašva-Nević Polje is a part of the new extended European network of speed roads, the so-called route 2A Lašva-Travnik-Jajce-Banja Luka, and as a very frequent road it is an excellent option for the allocation of the first concession in the field of construction of roads at the territory of FBiH.
Main project for the first stage of works on the section Lašva-Nević Polje in the length of 23.6 kilometers has already been made. The project is worth 434 million BAM.
“The existing section of the road Lašva-Nević Polje and further towards Donji Vakuf has been identified as a bottleneck in the road network of BiH in all previous researches and network studies,” Salčin said.
The Lašva loop will be relocated, thus creating better preconditions for the connecting of the speed road with the Corridor 5C.
Total investment on this section costs 434 million BAM. The project foresees the construction of 10 tunnels and 20 bridges, with the projected speed of around 100 kilometers per hour.
