Second session of the Commission for implementation of the referendum on the Day of RS will be held in Banja Luka today.
The session was scheduled to begin at 12 am in the hall of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
At the first session which was held on August 15, the Commission reached several decrees of normative character, such as the defining of the areas of their work, determining the design of the ballot for referendum which is to be held on September 25, as well as a series of other materials such as minutes from the voting committee, minutes from municipal and city commissions, and the final conclusion of the Republican commission.
“The Commission also launched the procedure in other institutions and bodies of local authority regarding activism and animation for certain process and organizational activities that they are legally obliged to provide to the Commission for referendum,” said the president of the Republican commission Siniša Karan after the first session.
At the session held on August 11, the Council for protection of vital interest within the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska determined that vital national interest of the Bosniak nation was not violated with the decision of the National Assembly of RS on the organization of the referendum on the Day of RS, nor with the Law on Census that was adopted by the parliament of Srpska.
