Mirko Sarovic, the President of the Serbian Democratic Party(SDS), stated that there is a possibility that the High Representative (HR) of the International Community, Christian Schmidt, will dismiss the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik.
“The ground is being prepared for such a thing. First of all, we will wait for a serious discussion in the United Nations (UN) Security Council which will occur this month. Schmidt’s future status depends on that discussion, his report will be presented. After that, we have the expiration of EUFOR’s mandate that needs to be extended, different behind-the-scenes games are being played, ” emphasized Sarovic for Bijeljina’s BN television.
He further assessed that RS could experience sanctions due to Dodik’s moves and have serious financial problems.
Also, he added that the arrival of new diplomats from the United States (U.S.) in this area was not accidental, some of whom also participated in the overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic in Serbia.
Sarovic thinks that Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic sent a clear message to Dodik with his statement that he supports the territorial integrity of BiH, the Dayton Agreement, and the territorial integrity of RS within BiH so that a dialogue between the three nations is the only way to solve certain issues.
He concluded that he did not know whether Dodik had any other support, commenting that the RS has more enemies than friends because of the policy that is being pursued currently.
