Representatives of the Government of Canton Sarajevo, led by Prime Minister Elmedin Konakovic, the Ministry of Finance of FBiH and PUC Water and Sewerage analyzed the present conditions of the proposed contract on the realization of the loan of 25 million EUR for the reconstruction of the water supply network in Canton Sarajevo with the Director of the Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in BiH, Ian Brown and his associates.
The signing of the loan agreement in the amount of 25 million EUR for reconstruction of water supply network is announced for the 10th of May this year.
During the negotiations was agreed that these funds will be realized in three tranches: the first and second in the amount of 10 million EUR and the third tranche in the total amount of 5 million EUR.
As determined in the contract, these funds will be taken on 15 years, with the grace period of 3 years. The interest rate is 1 % plus Euribor, the reference interest rate determined in the European interbank market, which cannot be less than zero, thus negative. The provision on available funds is 0.5 %, with the possibility of cancellation of the second and third tranche.
According to Prime Minister Konakovic, the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo should give its consent for the start of the complete procedure at the session that will be held later this month.
It was also determined that the ratification of this contract must be performed by legislation bodies of the FBiH within 60 days from the date of its signing.
As announced yesterday at the meeting, the negotiations will be finalized at the next meeting that is scheduled for the 12th of April this year.
