National handball team of BiH dropped from the play-offs for the World Cup, which will be played next year in France.
Sweden defeated our selection in the first match with the score 27:19, while meeting in Sarajevo was finished with score 27:27. Thus, Sweden went on the World Cup with the overall score 54:46.
Sweden had the biggest advantage in the 8th minute of the match, when Nielsen scored for the score 6: 2.
However, towards the end of the first half, we tied the score three times (9: 9, 10:10, 11:11), but the guests went to the half time with the advantage of two goals (14:16). (video)
In the first half, we managed to get the tied score (16:16), and after 36 minutes, Nikola Prce shot for our first lead at the match (17:16).
Later on, in the 58th minute, Sweden came to tied score through Lagergren (26:26). In the 59th minute, Malinovic scored for 27:26, but already in the next attack we ended up with one less player, since Terzic went out of the game for 2 minutes.
We entered in the last minute of the match with the result 27:27, and our team had the last possession of the game, but Ovcina made a mistake and match was finished with the score 27:27. (video)
