The registration of citizens for the ‘Race for the Cure’ began on Saturday in the central city squares in more than 20 cities in B&H, announced Fena.
The aim of the race is to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer in B&H.
‘Race for the Cure’ will be held on Vilsonovo Šetalište in Sarajevo on 5 October and around 2.500 people are expected to participate.
The Citizens Association ‘Renesans’, which is implementing the action in Sarajevo, announced that the action of registering citizens would offer a contribution to women who are suffering from breast cancer. Every year, it obtains 1.400 packages of first aid.
It also conducts around 700 mammogram tests in rural areas. During this action last year, four diseases were discovered on time.
The action will last four Saturdays at the same city locations, and around 7.000 people are expected to register.
