Pravo Ljudski, film festival of human rights and the association Lotos-the Protection of mental health from Zenica, will celebrate 2 April, World Autism Day. In order to celebrate this day, they will present two documentary-educational movies and a short lecture.
The president of the organization Lotos, Damir Čampara, said for Fena that the movies are named The Quiet One (Sweden) and Flying Anne (Netherlands).
According to Čampara, “The organization Lotos Zenica celebrates this date every year, because in this association we work also with autistic children. This is the first time that the association, in cooperation with Pravo Ljudski Sarajevo, organizes the projection of the movie regarding Autism Day. However, we did organize the round tables and educational lectures on the topic about autism before. ”
After the projection of the two documentaries, the lecture about autism will follow. The lecture will be held by Dr. Aiša Smailbegović-Hadžihalilović, who is a specialist in child diseases and child psychology and genetics, and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions as well.
Čampara invited everyone to dress in blue color and to show solidarity and support to persons with autism and to their families and to be among the first ones in B&H to be part of the worldwide action Light it up blue.
Projection of the movie and open conversations about autism will be held in the Multiplex Cinema Zenica. Entrance is free.
