“Plan Balkans: Europolitan” will organize today in Sarajevo a panel discussion titled “Why are citizens of the Balkans considered citizens of the Europe?”
The goal of this panel is that all relevant parties of the process of the European integration to participate in quality discussion with young people and among other things to discuss also, the similarities and differences between the citizens of the Balkans and the rest of Europe, as how political “differences” lead young people to miss many opportunities because of the necessary reforms in order to harmonize the national legislation with the European one.
Also, in this panel will be presented the results of the research on the perceptions, attitudes and experiences of young people on the European Union, stated the organizers.
The representatives of the EU Delegation to BiH, the representatives of the Directorate for European Integration, the representatives of the academic community, the representatives of the NGO sector in Serbia will be speakers of this panel.
Their audiences are the participants of the International Sarajevo Summer School, and the winners of the regional competition of essays on this topic. Participants in the competition were young people between 18 and 30 year old from seven countries of the Western Balkans.
Panel discussions will be held under the support of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić.
