The project “Sustainable development of cross-border Municipality Plužine and Foča” started its realization, within IPA Cross-boarder program of BiH and Montenegro, which is funded by the EU with an amount of € 376.000.
The project envisages, strengthening development potentials of tourism in rural areas and in the areas of environmental protection, said the project coordinator Marija Bakrač.
“The main tasks are seminars, travel guides, creation of a joint promotional materials, then the removal of illegal depot, setting the containers as well as the informative boards and signs”, said Bakrač and pointed out that it will be done even the study of tourism and agriculture in the area.
Natural Resources of Plužine and Foča are similar and relate mainly to energy, tourism and agriculture said the President of SO Plužine, Milutin Cicmil.
“Especially important is to reconstruct the traffic route from Nikšić to Plužine and Šćepan Polja and to continue to Foča and Sarajevo “, said Cicmil.
Deputy Chief of Foča, Radenko Srndović, considers that the project will contribute to the regulation and improvement of rafting on Tara.
Municipalities of Plužine and Foča, with EU funds have implemented two more common projects. One of them was to protect the national park Durmitor and Sutjeska.
