Member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović and Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalić yesterday put into operation the newly built 110 kW substation “Mostar 9” (Buna) with a power transmission line, worth 4.6 million BAM, in Mostar.
This created preconditions for permanent solving of the issue of electrical energy supply on 110 kW voltage level of consumers in that area.
Director General of Elektroprenos BiH Matan Žarić said that works are currently being conducted on around 50 substations at the territory of the entire BiH. Reconstruction of one substation last for one year or one and a half year usually.
“Elektroprenos is a stable company with 1.350 workers and I think the task that was set will be well executed,” said Žarić.
Novalić said that the launched investment projects enable long-term security in electrical energy supply.
Novalić emphasized that the Government of FBiH, as one of the co-owners of Elektroprenos BiH, supports all projects that this enterprise has implemented so far and that the support will be provided in the future as well.
Furthermore, Novalić said that he is happy to see that the majority of contractors are domestic companies and that he expects the domestic producers to participate more and more in the upcoming investments.
Construction of the substation Buna also created preconditions for the supply of consumers on the route of the future motorway on the Corridor 5C.
