Yesterday night, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) basketball national team win over Armenia with the result of 98:85 in the third round of pre-qualifier basketball match for the FIBA World Cup 2019. Both teams played even after the first quarter, with the result 23:23. The host played well, but the Armenia team consolidated with several three-pointers and after the first ten minutes of the match the final score in the first quarter was even.
In only three minutes of the second quarter, Ismet Sejfic and Alex Renfroe build an 11-point lead for Bosnian team, until Armenia made its first points. Coach of the BiH team called time out after which host was 13 goals in advance of the visiting team. BiH outscored Armenia 29:21 in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, the visiting team was in minus of 5 points, but the host lead in the last 10 minutes with the result 22:16 and headed in the final phase with 13 goals difference.
In the final quarter, both teams had even number of points, 25:25, but Dzanan Musa’s three-pointer led BiH to win the last quarter and celebrate with the final result 98:85.
For the host team, Dzanan Musa scored 28 points, while Ryan Boatright scored 30 points for the visiting team. The next match will be played in Zenica, a city a city some 70 km northwest from the capital of BiH, Sarajevo against Sweden team.
