The Municipality of Centar will provide free textbooks for all first graders who enrolled in eleven elementary schools on the area of this municipality this school year.
“Considering the fact that investment in education is the best investment, the Municipality of Centar as a socially responsible local community, led by Mayor Nedzad Ajnadzic, allocates funds from its budget for this most important area of social life for years, although it is still not in the municipal jurisdiction,” as stated from this municipality.
“We will also continue our current practice at the beginning of every new school year to give backpacks and school supplies to all first graders in this area, together with the wishes for a happy beginning of school year,” as noted in the statement.
Within this year’s municipal budget is planned a total of 102,000 BAM for the purchase of textbooks, backpacks and school supplies for all of the first graders. Around 600 children are enrolled in schools in the Municipality of Centar. Moreover, the municipality will allocate additional money for first graders if this number gets increased after the deadlines in April and August.
The money for the purchase of textbooks was transferred to schools which, depending on the number of first graders, will purchase all of the necessary textbooks.
