The British newspaper The Telegraph claims that Chelsea is to offer a contract to Asmir Begović next summer, whom they see as a replacement for Petr Cech, who is almost certain to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
According to the Telegraph, Mourinho will offer Begović a position of the second goalkeeper in the Premiership, and performances in the group stage of the Champions League as well as in English cups.
It has long been speculated about the possible departure of Begović from Stoke City, and the list of the clubs that are supposedly interested in is lengthy. Fuel to the fire was the omission from the team at the recent match against Swansea.
An interesting fact is that Chelsea offered the position of the second goalkeeper to Begović five years ago as well.
