The coach of German Bundesliga club Hertha, Pal Dardai, chose BiH national team member Vedad Ibisevic as a new captain.
“I made the decision considering the experience and indestructible will that Vedad showed at matches and training sessions. He proved to be a real motivator and leader,” said Dardai.
Popular Vedo inherited the former captain Fabian Lustenberger.
“The decision on changing the captain was not easy. Lustenberger lost the tape after 3 years during which he had both good and bad phases. This decision was not directed against him, we just want a fresh start with a different type of player,” said the coach of Hertha.
Ibisevic is 32 years old and he arrived in Hertha last season from Stuttgart. He also played for Hoffenheim, Alemannia Aachen, Dijon, PSG, Chicago Fire and the St. Louis Strikers.
Also, he wore the jersey of the youth national team of BiH and he is currently a member of our A national team.
