Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development in the Government of Greece, Janis Dragasakis, yesterday in Athens. They discussed key issues of increasing the extent and intensity of cooperation between the two countries.
“Greece is turning to the region in both political and economic sense, and it will strongly support faster integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU, but also the infrastructural connections,” as noted at the meeting.
Greek Deputy Prime Minister expressed the readiness of Greece to speed up the procedure for signing the agreement on reciprocal acceptance of driving licenses and facilitating traveling between the two countries for their citizens. He also noted the willingness to encourage the famous Greek company and investor Alumil from Thessaloniki to make further investments in Alumil from Vlasenica.
Minister Sarovic is leading numerous economic delegations from BiH in Greece.
Yesterday, at the Business Forum BiH – Greece, more than 20 companies and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH presented the investment opportunities of the two countries, as well as the possibility of the increase of mutual trade and economic cooperation. Furthermore, a series of meetings were held between the businessmen from BiH and Greece.
