On the building of B&H institutions in Sarajevo, as part of World AIDS Day that is marked on 1 December, lights in the shape of ribbons were turned on, which is the symbol in the fight against this disease. The buildings of the institutions have been marking this day in this manner for years.
From when the first cause of AIDS was registered in B&H in 1986, until November 2013 245 people have been registered with this virus, while 126 people with AIDS. This year, B&H marks 22 new cases of the HIV virus, of which 16 are men and 6 are women.
