The tournament ‘Citta di Roma’ will take place at the hall ‘Altero Felici’, and in addition to the Spars, clubs from Italy (Stellazzurra, Virtus Siena, Armani Junior Milano, Virtus Roma), Bayern from Munich, Cibona from Zagreb and Cajasol from Seville will participate.
Spars were the winners at last year’s tournament, and thus participated at the final tournament of the youth Euroleague in London that was held this year.
At this year’s qualification tournament in Rome, the team from Sarajevo will play in the group with Virtus from Siena, the hosts Stellazzura and Bayern.
Coach of the Spars Senad Redžić believes that his players can cope with all opponents, but gives a slight advantage to Stellazzura, which has four new players.
The winner of the tournament tin Rome, and along with the first placed teams, three more qualification tournaments will be played in Belgrade, Barcelona and Vilnius, and last year’s winner, host of the final tournament and two teams to whom the organizers of the competition sent invitations, will qualify for the final tournament ‘Nike International Junior 2014’, which will be held in Milan from 15 to 18 May 2014.
