The topics of grey economy, customs barriers and problems that are common to the majority of the regional countries, primarily unemployment, will be presented on the two-day Jahorina Economic Forum, which will start on Thursday, May 3,’’ said Sasa Grabovac, Executive Director of the Association of Economists of the RS “Svot”, which is the organizer of the meeting.
Grabovac also stated that the novelty of this year’s forum will be a number of sessions dedicated to topics related to economy, especially the possibilities of better regional connectivity when it comes to sectors of infrastructure, energy, and the cooperation of businessmen on third markets.
“We will also discuss problems that are common for majority of regional countries, primarily the issue of unemployment, especially for young people, as well as some of the more complex issues such as public debt,” noted Grabovac, who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of this event.
“This forum will be held under the auspices of the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik. Another novelty is the cooperation with the Association of Economists of Srpska, which is also an official partner of the forum. This cooperation further contributed to the quality of the selection of topics and this year’s lecturers,” stated Grabovac.
From the Svot was announced that attendees of the forum will be the President of the RS Milorad Dodik, Croatian member of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic, the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic, as well as numerous ministers, world financial institutions, diplomatic corps, public and private companies.
The forum will be officially opened on Thursday, May 3, in the Hotel Termag at 10.00 AM and the press conference will be held at 11.30 AM.
