Member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic said that in the letter, which was received from the International Court of Justice in The Hague addressed to members of the Presidency of BiH, is requested clarification of the status of the former agent of BiH, Sakib Softic.
“Confusion was created by private letters of Mladen Ivanic and Igor Crnadak, which they sent to the Court on the 13th of July 2016 and 3rd of February 2017, and in which they seek to challenge the legitimacy of the agent Softic” said Izetbegovic.
He argues that no one in BiH, including Ivanic, can deny the fact that according to the decision of the Presidency of BiH from the 4th of October 2002, Softic was appointed and authorized as the agent of BiH before the International Court of Justice in The Hague for all legal formalities relating the lawsuit.
“One of these actions is the revision process of the judgment from the 26th of February 2007,” said Izetbegovic.
He believes that, according to the legal order of BiH, there is no need for any new decisions of the Presidency of BiH for reappointing Softic for the agent before the International Court of Justice for the procedure of revision.
Izetbegovic said that the Presidency of BiH has to say that the above-mentioned facts regarding the status and legitimacy of agent Softic are unquestionable.
“Colleague Ivanic does not want to put on the agenda of the Presidency of BiH challenges of the legitimacy of the agent Softic, because he knows that the Presidency of BiH would not adopt a decision on the dismissal of the agent, as the decisions are made by consensus and that this would, in a formal sense, confirm Softic’s legitimacy,” stated, among other things, Izetbegovic.
