Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Nicola Minasi, together with local partners, announced the Italian Cuisine Week, which will be celebrated in several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina with events on the topic of Italian gastronomy and delicacies.
Ambassador Minasi explained that Italian professional chefs will prepare meals specifically for the occasion in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Mostar, Zenica and Trebinje.
During the preparation of famous Italian pasta, ambassador Minasi said that he believes that BiH has quality food, which is the basis of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
Professional chef Miran Karic emphasized the quality and simplicity of the taste of Italian cuisine and the possibility of combining some of the ingredients for preparation that can be found in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Radio Sarajevo news portal reports.
He continued by saying that intention of the Italian Cuisine Week in BiH is to point out these values ”to slow down the pace and provide an opportunity for more socializing”.
In a meeting with journalists, at a residence in Sarajevo, Ambassador Minasi and BiH partners participated in the event to prepare pasta, one of the traditional Italian dishes.
The Italian Cuisine Week in BiH will be held from November 18 to 24, organized by the Embassy in cooperation with local partners. In addition to the dishes, a tasting of the best wines available on the domestic market is planned.
The Italian Cuisine Week is celebrated, at the initiative of the Italian Government, around the world.
In BiH, it is realized as part of the ‘Season of Italian Culture in BiH’, an event that presents culture and ‘life in an Italian way’.
