The exodus of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues, and Bosnians are increasingly becoming citizens of various European Union states.
The scale of the exodus is shown by data provided by the Austrian Statistical Agency, and according to this data, last year 9,450 people received Austrian citizenship.
Statistics reveal that a total of 1,033 Bosnians and Herzegovinians received Austrian citizenship, BiznisInfo writes.
Thereafter, there are former citizens of Turkey (828), Serbia (625), Kosovo (586) and Romania (456).
Of the total number of naturalized Austrians last year, 3,288 or 34.8 percent were born in Austria.
