The scientific panel “Human rights education and Managing diversities” that will be held on the occasion of the ceremony celebrating the end of studies for the 12th generation of graduates of the European Regional Master’s Degree Program in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe (ERMA), on Saturday, 26 October 2013, starting at 11:00 at the University of Sarajevo, Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (Zmaja od Bosne 8) in Sarajevo.
The new generation of students shall also be inaugurated on this occasion. Numerous national and foreign diplomats, universities professors, former and future students of the Program, their friends, families and others, shall attend the ceremony.
The ERMA Program was established by the joint efforts of several universities from South East Europe and the European Union. Since 2000, it has been financed by the European Union from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights – EIDHR (80% of the total amount) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Italy through their DGCS/UTL offices (20%). The total value of allocated funds is over €6,5 million.
Until now, over 325 students, mostly from the region of South East Europe, European Union and beyond have graduated from this Program. Students shall receive double diplomas: one from the University of Sarajevo and one from the University of Bologna.
