The chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Denis Zvizdic met yesterday in Sarajevo with the delegation of the Committee for Economic Relations with Eastern Europe of the Association of German Economy (BDI) led by executive director Michael Harms.
Zvizdic informed German businessmen about the economic and political situation in BiH and the priorities of the Council of Ministers. He highlighted the progress BiH has made on the European path, as well as the positive indicators of economic development realized in the last two years, which are the product of the reform process undertaken.
He emphasized that the Council of Ministers is continuously working on improving the business environment and familiarizing foreign investors with the comparative advantages of doing business in BiH.
Harms said that he was impressed by the reform processes in BiH and the priorities of the Council of Ministers, which are oriented towards the economy and economic development. German businessmen pointed out that BiH is already the most important partner in the region to German companies. They welcomed preparations for a digital summit of businessmen, which should be held in the spring of next year in Sarajevo.
Zvizdic thanked Germany, especially Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as German businessmen for continued support to Euro-Atlantic integrations and economic development of BiH. He pointed out that Germany is one of the most important economic partners of BiH.
Ismir Jusko, the minister of transport and communications of BiH, who presented the German businessmen with the process of digitization and development of transport infrastructure, was also present at the meeting, especially noting the construction of the highway on Corridor Vc.
