Representatives of the company Vebo from Germany are interested in the production of tools which are used for the making of parts for automatic transmissions in Derventa. In this regard, they spoke yesterday with the Mayor of the Municipality of Derventa Milorad Simić and his associates on the finding of a suitable location on which the company would build a plant.
Owner of the company Aksel Viting stated that for starters they need 10.000 square meters of land and that they are planning to begin with five to ten people. In the future, they intend to expand the plant to 30.000 square meters and hire around 30 workers.
“The geographical position of Derventa is very well, the distance between large cities is not huge. It has a good potential and good mentality of the people,” Viting said.
Mayor of the Municipality of Derventa Milorad Simić expressed satisfaction with the fact that representatives of the German company Vebo want to launch production in Derventa and stated that they can expect support from the local community during the process.
Simić added that the local community reacts very rapidly when it comes to foreign investors and all necessary paperwork is issued in a short period of time. Furthermore, Simić said that Derventa is a municipality with the lowest unemployment rate and indebtedness rate.
The company Vebo operates in Germany and had around 100 specialized workers.
Representatives of the company expressed readiness to cooperate with a school that educates the staff, especially mechatronics.
“We cannot educate people here, but we will provide support in terms of finances and procurement of machines on which they will learn. The educated and trained staff will work for us or some other companies,” said the owner of the German company.
