Documentary film by young BH director Hari Secic “Searching for Home” will be screened at the St. Louis International Film Festival.
The film tells the story of Sead Delic, the truck driver in America who survived the genocide in Srebrenica, and the war interrupted his youth and took his home. As a refugee, together with his wife, he realized the “American dream”. However, years later, out of love for his homeland, he decided to quit and return to his home village. He did not stay to live and Sead is now a man without a home, living and working in a truck on American roads, who is visiting Bosnia and dreaming about permanent return.
The film will be screened in two terms, on the 5th of November at 6:00 pm and on the 12th of November at 6:30 pm.
Film “Searching for Home” premiered at this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival and opened the BH program. Executive producer is Rita M. Csapo-Sweet, the writers are Secic and Miroslav Mandic, editor was Sasa Pesevski, sound designer Nenad Kovacevic, and composer Muhamed Latic.
Secic graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts at the University of Missouri where he participated in student exchange program.
