Fatih Terim is no longer a candidate for the selector of national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). One of the members of the Executive Committee of the Football Association (FA) of BiH confirmed this information.
The reasons for the termination of contact with the Turkish expert are the facts that the FA would probably not comply with the financial appetites of the “Imperator, ” and the interest shown to him by Galatasaray, who has recently dismissed the Croatian expert Igor Tudor.
The same source said that Clarence Seedorf, who had never been spoken face to face (the contact was established only once with his manager), and Sven Goran Eriksson, whose manager contacted members of FA just a few days ago, were definitely out of the selection.
This is why only two names remained in the race for the selector. Amar Osim and Robert Prosinecki. For now, the second one has the advantage, given the coach’s experience (assistant coach in the Croatian national football team, Kayserispor, and selector of Azerbaijan).
Considering the statements of the President of the FA of BiH – Elvedin Begic, it is possible that BiH will not get a selector at a session that will take place on December 22nd , and everything will depend on whether the Special Committee on Appointment will propose only one or more names. In the event that the four cannot agree in their suggestions, the FA of BiH will “sacrifice” friendly matches in the USA to get more time for consideration and further discussion with the candidates.
On December 22nd, it will be discussed about the election of the selector for BiH national football team, as this will be the penultimate point of the agenda.
