In the first nine months of 2021, exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 10 billion and 84 million BAM, which is 33.1 percent more than in the period January-September 2020.
In the same period, imports amounted to 15 billion and 310 million BAM, which is 24.2 percent more than in the first nine months of last year.
The coverage of imports by exports in the first nine months of 2021 amounted to 65.9 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 5 billion and 226 million BAM.
Exports to CEFTA countries in the first nine months of 2021 amounted to one billion and 614 million BAM which is 33.6 percent more than in the same period in 2020, while imports amounted to one billion and 981 million BAM, which is 25, 9 percent more than a year earlier.
The coverage of imports by exports was 81.5 percent. Exports to the countries of the European Union in the first three quarters of 2021 amounted to 7 billion and 466 million BAM, which is 35 percent more than in the same period in 2020, while imports amounted to 9 billion and 120 million BAM, which is 22, 2 percent more than in the same period in 2020.
The coverage of imports by exports to EU countries was 81.9 percent, according to data from the BiH Agency for Statistics.
