Exhibition entitled ”Ribe iz Japodije” by an academic graphic artist Admir Mujkić will be opened on Tuesday, the 5th of March, at the Gallery of Contemporary Art ”Java” in Sarajevo. The opening ceremony for this exhibition begins at 19:00 p.m.
This is Mujkić’s 30th individual exhibition and it encompasses graphics and objects created in the period from the year 2010 till today.
His works are known for their precise, almost filigree artistic language with a sense of mythical symbolism. This time, the author is exhibiting a thematic exhibition in which the shape of a fish dominates all arts works. This shape opens a variety of figurative and symbolic meanings that belong to fishes, but on the other hand these shapes represent the nostalgia of the memories and the return to the homeland by the river Una. Some shapes of the fish do not have hidden meanings, but are symbolic of the childhood that this author spent by this river.
Admir Mujkić graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, at the Department of graphics. He had exhibited his works around Europe and the US. He is also the winner of most awards for graphics and paintings.
