The Republic Market Inspection performed 3,240 invoice controls in nine months and in 326 cases determined that business entities did not properly issue invoices for goods sold or services performed, and due to the established violation, they were fined 148,700 BAM, the Republika Srpska Inspectorate stated in the press release.
The non-issuance of invoices, it is stated in the announcement, was most often stated in the facilities that deal with the trade of food and non-food goods, and in the facilities that perform the activity of providing food and beverage services, including buffets, cafes and barbecues.
“Entities that do not issue invoices represent unfair competition to businessmen who respect the law and settle all business obligations, and the market inspection will continue intensified activities to control the turnover of goods and services and compliance with the obligation to issue invoices,” the Inspectorate said.
