The Government of Canton Sarajevo (CS) has issued a conclusion on easing epidemiological measures in the canton, following the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) government’s decision made on Thursday, one of which is to allow the number of people who can gather indoors to increase to 50 and outdoors to 100.
As explained by the Minister of Health of CS, Haris Vranic, the current epidemiological situation in the Canton does not require the implementation of harsher measures than those adopted by the FBiH Government, and accordingly, the measures set by the FBiH government on June 3rd, 2021 will be implemented in CS in the upcoming period until June 28th, 2021.
Other hygienic-epidemiological measures determined by the CS Government remain in force until June 28th this year.
When it comes to educational institutions, the only novelty is that the realization of the teaching process – lectures, exercises, and exams in higher education institutions is allowed in groups of up to 50 people, with mandatory compliance with all hygienic-epidemiological measures determined by competent authorities and institutions.
The Government and the Crisis Staff noted that the epidemiological situation in the Canton was continuously monitored and that, in accordance with the assessment of epidemiological risks, the measures would be revised and possibly tightened.
It was also pointed out that intensified inspections at places where people gather, especially catering facilities, remain in force, the CS Press Service announced.
