Reconstruction and construction of the new international border crossing Ivanjica, between BiH and Croatia, started on Monday, according to the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA).
The deadline for completion of the construction is 180 days, and the funds in the amount of 1.7 million BAM were provided from the budget of ITA.
The beginning of work is marked by a visit of the construction by the director of the ITA Miro Dzakula, Mayor of Ravno Andrija Simunovic, and the Mayor of Trebinje Luka Petrovic.
The project of Construction of BC Ivanjica was prepared in accordance with all standards of the European Union in order for the new border crossing to satisfy all required needs for transport of passengers and goods, and especially goods that are requiring a phytosanitary inspection.
On the terminal, which is located next to the border crossing, will be situated all inspection services that are necessary because of the categorization of the border crossing and the allowed type of goods that can be transported.
The border crossing will have a total of four lanes, two for entry in BiH, two for the exit, and it will form a part of the passenger traffic and a part for commercial vehicles.
