In the ethno-village Stanišići near Bijeljina an opening ceremony was held yesterday awarding contracts for the realization of projects from the second call as part of the IPA cross-border program of Serbia-BiH.
For the second call for proposals in the framework of this program, the merger of the financial allocation for 2009, 2010 and 2011 was 4,68 million euros.
After the procedure, 16 projects were contracted, of which 4 are in the area of economy, 4 in environmental protection, 2 projects in the domain of social cohesion and 6 projects whose purpose is the exchange of people and ideas.
The conference gathered around 100 people, among which are representatives of partner organizations, local communities and civil society organizations from both countries.
The Directorate organized the event for European Integration of the BIH Council of Ministers and the Office for European Integration of the government of Serbia, with the help of the Joint Technical Secretariat of this program and the support of the EU Delegation to BIH and Serbia.
The publication of the third call for proposals under the IPA cross-border program Serbia-BiH is expected until the end of this year, said in a statement of the Directorate for European Integration of BIH.
